If you are wheelchair-bound, then you know what it feels like to sit in a wheelchair for long periods of time: You grow tired, bored, you want to shift your weight, squirm, move anyway you can just to get comfortable.

If you are permanently wheelchair-bound, things get even worse: Especially if you cannot get onto your feet at all, don't have the strength to sit up properly, or you are involuntarily subject to spasticity. And of course, dealing with pressure sores is an extremely important challenge.

Positioning - sitting with correct posture - is vitally important in order NOT to slouch into unhealthy posture and put pressure on internal organs, NOT to lean to the left or right, NOT to develop swayback or hunchback.
